| Ingredients: 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
8 tablespoons soft butter or margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup rolled oats (not instant)

Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Beat butter and sugars until light. Beat in egg and vanilla, then flour mixture until just combined. Stir in oats and raisins.
Drop dough by about 2 tablespoons full onto ungreased cookie sheet, spacing about 4 inches apart. Flatten with a fork dipped in sugar. Bake until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
Cool slightly before removing. Makes about 18 large cookies.
