Directions:
Wash chicken and pat dry, place in dish for marinating. Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Pour mixture over chicken, cover tightly and let stand in refrigerator several hours or overnight.

Drain chicken, reserving marinade sauce. Combine all coating ingredients in plastic bag and shake chicken pieces in bag to cover with mixture.

Preheat 1/2 cup oil in electric skillet (can use less oil), uncovered over medium heat (325 degrees in electric frying pan). Add chicken pieces and brown on all sides.

Combine reserved marinade sauce with tomato paste and sugar; mix well. Pour over chicken pieces in skillet. Cover and reduce heat to simmer. Cook 1 hour or until tender, turning chicken several times during cooking.

Prep time: 3 hours - includes marinating time
