Pecan Pie Bars



Ingredients:
Crust:
1-1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 semi-sweet chocolate chips

Filling:
3/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Crust: Combine all crust ingredients except chocolate chips. Beat at low speed until mixture is crumbly. Press onto bottom of 9-inch square baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes or until edges lightly browned. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust.

Filling: Combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, flour and vanilla. Beat at medium speed until well mixed. Stir in 1 cup of chopped pecans by hand. Pour filling over hot crust. Bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes, or until set. Cool and cut into bars.
