| This is a great recipe using pears. Ingredients: 9 cups peeled, cored, shredded pears
5 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup crushed pineapple (with juice)
juice of 2 limes

Then put in hot, sterilized jars and place lids on. You can process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes. This is great with hot biscuits or just plain.
