Meatball Subs



I think these are to die for.

Ingredients:
1 pound hamburger
1 tbs. garlic powder
1 tbs. onion powder
1 tsp. pepper
1 cup bread crumbs (italian style recomended)
1 egg
1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce
1 bag grated mozzarella Cheese
6 to 8 hoagie rolls

Directions:
Combine hamburger, garlic and onion powder, pepper, bread crumbs, and egg in a large bowl.
Mix together completely, then roll into balls about the size of a silver dollar (you might like them bigger or smaller).

Brown in large skillet on medium heat roll them constantly to kep them from burning. Drain off fat then add to a large pot with pasta sauce. Allow to simmer for 2 hours. Cut a V shape from rolls and add meatballs to the grove sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Serve.


Some people like to add more spice to this recipe. You can do that by adding red pepper to the meatballs and the sauce.


I hope you enjoy this recipe, it takes a bit to roll the meatballs, but in the end it is worth it.

Prep time: about 3 hours

Makes 6-8 subs
