| These are amazing cookies. I hope that he doesn't find out that I've shared his "secret" recipe with the world! Ingredients: 3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
dash salt
8 ounces Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips

Add dry ingredients and mix. Add chips and nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes. Watch carefully - don't overbake.
When they are done gently remove from cookie sheet and cool on rack. After we make a batch, we cover the bowl of dough (not to eat later!) with a damp towel and refriderate overnight. The cookies are best after the batter has "rested" overnight.
