| Ingredients: 2 cups boiling water
1 cup dry rolled oats
1 pkg. yeast
1/3 cup warm water
1 Tablespoon salt
1/2 cup honey
1 egg
2 Tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 cups whole wheat flour
4 to 5 cups white flour

While this sets, dissolve the yeast in the warm water. To the oat mixture add the salt, honey, egg, molasses, vinegar and the yeast mixture. Stir in the whole wheat flour, then gradually add enough of the white flour so the dough can be kneaded, (it will be slightly sticky).
Turn out on to a floured board and knead 5 to 10 minutes. Place dough in a greased bowl and turn to grease other side, cover and let rise until double, about 1 hour. Punch down, divide into 2 loaves and place in greased loaf pans, cover and let rise again for about 45 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes.
